St Martins Healthcare Services (SMHS) formed in 2008 to deliver a Community Substance Misuse Prescribing Service in Leeds and became a Community Interest Company in 2011.
All the Directors of the company are present or former partners of St Martins Practice which is a long established, experienced Primary care and Specialist Community Drug and Alcohol Services provider in Leeds. Our roots in the NHS are important to us and we continue to work closely with our primary and secondary colleagues.
We now deliver Community Substance Misuse Medical Services to the populations of Leeds, Hull and Bolton, including Drug and Alcohol Detox services and a Hepatitis C treatment service in Leeds.
SMHS prioritises the provision of good healthcare over financial gain, aspires to offer high quality, accessible, non-discriminatory and equitable health care to all service users and is committed to a team-based, collaborative approach to working. We create an environment of mutual learning, mutual respect and validation for each member of the team.
Partnership solutions for equitable healthcare – at St Martins we are passionate about addressing health inequalities. St Martins Healthcare Services is working with voluntary sector and NHS partners to deliver high quality services to vulnerable and excluded groups. Fairness, respect and rigorous quality standards are our hallmarks.
